We usually visit the doctor when we are symptomatic or unwell. Rarely do we see a doctor to maintain our health and promote wellness. Our modern western care model is treatment, not prevention. This is antithetical to the basis of Chinese Medicine. In ancient China you paid your physician, who was an acupuncturist and an herbalist, only when you were healthy. If you were sick, the treatment was free.

The intention was to keep you healthy. You paid to maintain your health.

The question is: do you consider yourself healthy?
This is completely subjective. Your definition of health is different from my definition of heath, from your partner/parents/friends definition of health.

The next question is, if you do consider yourself to be healthy, are you symptom free?
Most people say no.  Many of us have something to work with- low back pain, hormonal headaches, weak digestion, insomnia, stress, anxiety, poor immunity. These symptoms, if not addressed and treated, can result in you being unhealthy and then, ultimately, in you needing treatment and care.

One of your greatest tools is to be able to listen to and understand your body. This is preventative medicine at its finest.

Let’s work to keep you healthy.

That means no-pain, restful sleep, strong digestion, robust immunity, balanced moods, regulated hormones, and success moderating stress.
